Korean Peninsula in Lithuania

Image
One day when I visited my Lithuanian friend, I watched the Lithuanian map on the wall of his room and I was very surprised by names of the countries of Africa on the map. So I wondered why the Lithuanian map had them. My friend told me that the geographical form of Lithuania looks like the African continent. In May 2007 I had good chance to travel by hot air balloon over lakes in Trakai. During the travel I saw the unbelievable scene, that the lake in Trakai is very similar to the Korean Peninsula. Please watch my video, and you will agree with me. * The background music is a part of the song "Set Me Free" of Andrius Mamontovas.

How about her English?

My daughter, Jogaile (korean-lithuanian), is six years old. She likes very much English cartoon channel. She has watched it from early years and learned English naturally. How about her English now? I am very happy from her result.

We are missing snow

It hardly snows this winter in Lithuania. My daughter often complains about the lack of snow. Especially white snow helps us forget gloomy feeling which is caused by the daytime sky with gray clouds. This winter makes us more clearly convinced of the serious worldwide climate change. It can be really said that spring will not come after winter, but after fall. * Music is a part of the song "Sweet, Black Night" of Andrius Mamontovas

How do animals eat?

One day, when my daughter was five years old, she asked me, how animals eat, and she wanted to show me. Her imitating of the eating behaviour of a few animals was very funny. So I would like to show you in the following video.

Lithuanians try to eat kimchi

Image
I am used to making kimchi, which is very popular food for Korean people. One day I was invited to Lithuanian sauna and I brought kimchi. One said that it is too hot to eat, while another said that it will become his favorite food. Almost all of my Lithuanian friends like kimchi. * Music is a part of the song "Sweet, Black Night" of Andrius Mamontovas
